After a filling lunch at sister restaurant Kayu, my colleague and I walked a few meters away and beyond the very inviting pool to Marisse Patisserie for a cup of cappuccino and dessert. We were the first ones there and the place was absolutely perfect for a cozy chat before the crowd from the nearby restaurant arrived.
I ordered my cappuccino and decided to try a slice of the guava cake which when sliced and served was a dainty pink of two- layered yumminess with enough sweetness from the cream cheese frosting while the guava jam topping and filling was subtle in flavour yet lovely, reminding me why I loved guava as a kid.
Word has it that before Marisse Patisserie leased and located its cafe and patisserie here, this structure was a private pool house owned by the Aboitiz’s who were the previous owners of this 3.2 hectares now owned by Rockwell that is developing the 32 Sanson luxury garden condominiums in the same area. So when you come to visit, you will be pleased that the location is surrounded by a manicured lawn and garden, a very inviting swimming pool right in front and Kayu restaurant nearby.
I enjoyed my first visit here at Marisse Patisserie. I cannot wait to bring more friends on my next visit to share stories and calories with when I try out their other delectable desserts on their menu.
