Citadines, Salcedo Makati: A Hotel Review

Citadines Salcedo Makati is an Apartment-Hotel (apart’hotel) that is being run as serviced apartments by The Ascott. It is located in the quaint Salcedo Village that is all business during weekdays but transforms into a dynamic and buzzing tiny community when the place comes alive on Saturdays with its popular Saturday Salcedo Flea Market.

This apart’hotel is a perfect base when you want to be near the center of the business/financial district like the Philippines Stocks Exchange, Citibank Tower, Ayala Ave, and Makati Avenue. During your downtime, the area is dotted with coffeeshops, boulangeries, bars, spas and a variety of restaurants to choose from when you want to dine out.

My bedroom is a 1-Bedroom Deluxe that sports an earthy palette with lots of relaxing neutrals that gives the compact space a homey warmth. A well-designed space with just enough room to move around without feeling crowded.
My small but bright toilet and shower room with everything I need to have a relaxing and refreshing time in the shower. I am impressed with how Citadines can make such a small space look and feel spacious at the same time.
The toiletry caddy seems to be only half full. But no worries, you can request for more bath gels and shampoo if you need more.

Enjoy this cozy and comfortable living room watching your favorite tv show or chatting with your companion before retiring to sleep.
I felt elated when I saw this handsome and compact kitchen. If you are not in the mood to eat out or you want to have control over what you eat, you can do some basic cooking in this kitchen like making omelettes for breakfast or reheating some take-out food. The next day, housekeeping comes to help clean up your room.
Every day this coffee and tea nook gets replenished for the guests.

The gym is tiny but treadmills and elliptical machines are available to help get fit while on travel.
If swimming in the pool is too strenuous for you, you can book the sauna and have a relaxing soak while you read a long overdue favorite book or spend an hour of a care-free chat with a partner to get over a stressful day.
The attractive, outdoor swimming pool area. Imagine taking laps here to burn some calories or just to relax and soak up some sun.
The Herb Garden nook where the guests can hang out while taking a swim. It gives the warm ambiance of being in a genuine garden with trees and flora on solid ground until you realize it’s a garden high up in the condominium overlooking other neighbouring skycrapers.
The Flying Pan is Citadine’s Cafe offering delicious meals at affordable prices. You may opt for a room with breakfast here or choose to have a room and just step out in the neighborhood where there are many options to grab a bite that won’t break your pocket.
The street view across Citadines Salcedo Hotel showing close proximity to a satellite post-office as well as many small restaurants to dine in and popular pharmacies in case you need some last minute medicines.
